Sound Baths

Discover the power of sound

My journey with sound began a few years ago when I attended my first sound bath at a festival. I remember lying there, completely mesmerised by the layers of sound around me. I kept looking around to see what instruments were being played – which isn't really the idea, but I was far too curious! The experience stayed with me long afterwards, and I found myself wanting to learn more about the instruments, the vibrations and the way sound could create such a noticeable shift in how we feel.

Having taught yoga since 2018, I have always been passionate about practices that help people slow down, reconnect with themselves and find moments of calm in busy lives. Over time, sound became a natural part of that exploration.

In 2025, I organised a series of Sunday Sessions – extended classes in collaboration with other local teachers offering a variety of wellbeing practices. These events gave me more opportunities to experience sound baths and immersive sound journeys, deepening my appreciation for the practice and inspiring me to explore it further.

After researching training programmes, I found a course that resonated with me and qualified as a Sound Bath Practitioner in May 2026. Today, I'm delighted to be able to share these experiences with others and introduce more people to the wonderful world of sound!

What is a sound bath?

A sound bath is a deeply relaxing experience where you rest comfortably while being immersed in sound created by gongs, singing bowls and other therapeutic instruments.

Rather than "doing" anything, your role is simply to lie back, listen and receive. Many people find sound baths help them switch off from daily stresses, encourage relaxation and create space for rest and reflection.

Every person's experience is unique. Some people feel deeply relaxed, some notice vivid imagery or emotions, while others simply enjoy the opportunity to slow down and unwind.

Yoga & Sound Bath Sessions

One of my favourite ways to combine my two passions is through Yoga & Sound Bath sessions – a deeply restorative 90-minute experience that brings together movement, breath and sound.

What to Expect

Each session begins with a gentle 45-minute yoga practice designed to release tension from the body and help settle the mind. We then move into an extended 45-minute relaxation, where you'll be immersed in the rich, resonant sounds of the gong and other instruments.

The combination of yoga and sound creates an opportunity to slow down, switch off from everyday demands and simply rest. Many participants leave feeling calmer, more grounded and deeply relaxed.

Join a Session

From autumn 2026 onwards, I will be offering regular Yoga & Sound Bath sessions in Chippenham, Wiltshire.

These sessions are suitable for complete beginners as well as those who already enjoy sound baths, creating a welcoming space for anyone looking to experience the benefits of yoga and sound together.

As I continue to develop my sound practice, I look forward to creating new experiences and offerings throughout 2027 and beyond.
